Terms of use
PingPing is an Android app for following people, sharing photos, and chatting. It's made by 96DEV, an individual developer based in Vietnam. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean 96DEV, and "you" means the person using PingPing. If you have a question, email support.pingping@96studio.dev.
By creating an account or using PingPing, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use PingPing.
When you sign in for the first time, you tick a box to confirm you've agreed to these terms and read the Privacy policy. If you already had an account, PingPing asks you to agree once, before your first post, message, or follow.
Who can use PingPing
- You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live says a parent or guardian must agree before you can use an online service, you need that agreement first.
- You sign in with your Google account. You're responsible for keeping it secure and for what happens under your PingPing account.
- Use your own identity. Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't create new accounts to get around a block, suspension, or ban.
Your profile
Your name, profile photo, and username are public. Anyone can see them, including on your profile page at pingping.cam/yourusername, even if your account is private. Anyone can also send you a follow request. You can edit your name, profile photo, and username in the app. Free accounts can change their username once every 30 days, and Pro accounts once every 7 days.
Your content
Your content means the photos, captions, profile details, and messages you add to PingPing. You keep ownership of it. By posting or sending content, you also agree to the following:
- You have the right to share it, and it follows these terms.
- You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, resize, convert, and show your content, and to deliver it to the people you choose, so we can run PingPing. This license ends when your content is deleted, apart from copies we must keep as described in the Privacy policy.
- You're responsible for what you post. We don't own or check everything people share, and we aren't responsible for other people's content.
When you post a photo, you pick who can see it: all your followers, your friends (people you follow who follow you back), or people you choose. PingPing shows the post only to that audience. Be aware that photo files are stored at long, random web addresses that are very hard to guess, but anyone who has the exact address can open the photo. Anyone who can see your photo can also save it or share it outside PingPing, for example with a screenshot. Only share photos you're comfortable with.
What's not allowed
PingPing is for friendly, everyday photo sharing. Objectionable content is anything illegal, harmful, or likely to hurt or upset people. Don't post, send, or share content that:
- Contains nudity or sexual content of any kind, including sexual messages. PingPing doesn't allow it at all.
- Sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children in any way. See the section on child safety below.
- Shows or promotes violence, graphic injury, threats, self-harm, or dangerous acts.
- Harasses, bullies, stalks, or intimidates someone, or attacks people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or similar traits.
- Shows or shares another person's private information or private moments without their consent.
- Promotes illegal activity, or illegal goods or services.
- Is a scam, fraud, phishing attempt, or spam.
- Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
Also don't:
- Impersonate another person or lie about who you are.
- Try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to PingPing or to other people's accounts.
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to collect data from PingPing or to send messages or follow requests in bulk.
- Upload malware or anything else meant to damage devices or services.
- Use PingPing in a way that breaks the law.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
PingPing has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualizing minors, grooming, sextortion, child trafficking, and any attempt to contact a child for sexual purposes. It applies everywhere on PingPing: photos, captions, profile photos, usernames, and messages.
If we find or learn about this kind of content or behavior, we will:
- Remove the content and permanently ban the account, without warning.
- Keep the records the law requires us to keep.
- Report it to the relevant authorities, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or law enforcement in Vietnam or elsewhere, as the law requires.
To report a child safety concern, choose Report in the app and pick "Child safety or exploitation", or email support.pingping@96studio.dev with "Child safety" in the subject line. This email is also our child safety contact for authorities and child protection organizations. We review these reports first. Please don't send us images of child abuse. Describe what you saw and give us the username instead. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.
Reporting and blocking
You can report a profile, a post, or a message in the app:
- Tap the … button (More options) on a profile, a post, or a chat. For a message someone sent you, press and hold it instead. Then tap Report.
- Choose a reason, and add details if you like.
- The person you report isn't told.
We store your report, along with a copy of what you reported, so we can review it. For a profile, that's the username, name, and photo. For a post, it's the caption and photo. For a message, it's the text. We review child safety reports first.
If you can't use the report button, or you want to add something, email support.pingping@96studio.dev.
- Include the username of the person involved and what happened. If you can, say when it happened and which post or chat it was in.
- Keep it to a description. Don't forward explicit images.
To block someone, tap the … button (More options) and choose Block, or open Settings, then Blocked accounts, then choose Block someone. Any follows between you are removed, and neither of you can follow, find, or message the other. They aren't told. If you want to report someone's profile or post, report it before you block them. After a block, you can still report their messages.
How we enforce these terms
We may review content and accounts when we get a report or otherwise learn about a problem. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- Remove content.
- Warn you.
- Limit features, or suspend or permanently ban your account.
- Report the matter to the authorities when the law requires or when someone's safety is at risk.
We decide what to do case by case, and we may act without notice when the risk is serious. If you think we made a mistake, email us and we'll take another look.
PingPing Pro
PingPing is free to use. PingPing Pro is an optional paid subscription that adds extras. At the moment, Pro includes:
- A widget that shows only the latest photo from the person you pick.
- Every widget theme and photo frame.
- A Pro badge on your profile photo and share card, visible to others.
- Following up to 200 people. Free accounts can follow up to 20.
- Saved audience lists, so you can send a post to a list in one tap.
Pro features can change over time. The current ones are shown in the app before you subscribe.
How subscriptions work:
- There is a monthly plan and a yearly plan. Google Play shows the price of each before you subscribe.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it. You can cancel or manage it at any time in Google Play. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
- If you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- Google Play handles your payment. PingPing never receives your card or payment details. Google Play's terms apply to your purchase.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play and follow Google Play's refund policy.
- A free trial is available only if Google Play offers you one. Google Play shows the trial length, the price after it, and the charge date before you start. Cancel in Google Play before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
- Deleting your PingPing account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it in Google Play first.
- Pro doesn't give you any exception to these terms.
When Pro ends, the Pro features stop applying: the badge, the higher follow limit, and the 7-day username change. The widget person, frames, and saved lists you chose are kept and paused, and your widget goes back to the free theme. Everything comes back if you subscribe again.
Availability and changes to the app
PingPing is provided as it is. We may change, pause, or stop parts of the app at any time. Posts, profiles, and messages can fail to load, arrive late, or become unavailable, and we don't promise that PingPing will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copy of any photo that matters to you.
Disclaimers and limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we provide PingPing without warranties of any kind, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or lost profits that come from using PingPing. We also aren't responsible for content that users post or send. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws where you live, or any liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending your use of PingPing
You can stop using PingPing at any time. Signing out or uninstalling the app doesn't delete your account or your data from our servers. To delete your account, you can do it yourself or ask us.
- In the app, open Settings, then Delete account, and confirm. Your account and its data are deleted right away, you're signed out on every device, and it can't be undone. The steps are also at pingping.cam/account/delete.
- If you can't use the app, email support.pingping@96studio.dev from the email address on your account. We delete your account and its associated data within 30 days of verifying your request.
- Your chats are deleted for the other person too. We keep reports, as the Privacy policy explains.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel your Pro subscription. Cancel it in Google Play first.
- PingPing can't delete a single post or message in the app yet. To remove one, email us and tell us which one.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if your use puts others or PingPing at risk. If your access ends, you may lose your account and your content. The parts of these terms that are meant to continue after that, such as the sections on your content license, liability, and governing law, stay in effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, including Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection. This doesn't remove any mandatory consumer or privacy protections that apply to you in the country where you live. If you have a problem, please email us first. Most things can be sorted out that way.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always in the app under Settings, then Legal, and at pingping.cam/legal/terms, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If you keep using PingPing after a change, you accept the new terms. If we make an important change, PingPing may ask you to agree again before you post, message, or follow. If you don't agree, stop using PingPing and delete your account.
